Questions We Get
- Does Section 504 really apply to a small PT clinic?
- If you bill Medicare Part B, yes. HHS reversed its longstanding position in 2024 and made Part B alone a trigger effective May 6 2025, which caught a lot of small outpatient practices by surprise. If you are cash-pay only with no Medicare and no Medicaid, it does not reach you — and we would rather say so than sell you a deadline you do not have.
- Can you explain direct access on our site?
- Yes, and you should. Direct access rules vary by state and most patients have no idea they may be able to start therapy without a physician referral. A clear, accurate explanation of your state's rules is one of the highest-value pages a rehab practice can publish.
- What about a referral page for physicians?
- Included. Referring providers get a page with your forms, fax and secure-send details, service list, and turnaround expectations, so their staff stop calling yours to ask.
- Do you touch patient data?
- No. We never store, transmit, or process PHI. Referral and intake forms route directly into your existing systems, which keeps the website itself outside HIPAA scope.
